There will be updates to both.
Android 7 firmware update likely next week.

High hopes on this firmware...

Ah. OK. You mean 3D ISO displaying 23.976fps at 24Hz.
This requires a chipset SDK update. The fix should appear on both OS firmware when the SDK update is available.
-
Ok thx
-
Any signs that it may have that improvement of the Imprex engine (slightly refined PQ and the ability to turn it OFF completely) as the 2.0.0 fw had?! ???
Any experiences are welcomed, thanks!
-
really looking forward for low sound volume in some videos to be fixed.
-
because develop Android Android 5 and 7 simultaneously?
on android 5 iso dvd they go well with kodi + wrap ?
-
Great update ! thank you.
I was very frustrated with Android 7, and was very glad to see they will keep evolving Android 5. After rolling back to 5, and upgrading to 1.0.9 now I can say that for all my uses, the box is 100% functional !
- CD/DVD/BD-ROM works perfectly (while I was struggling in Android 7)
- All HDDs show up just fine.
- If I setup the main resolution at 4K60, when playing a 4K24 movie, the color space now stays as ycc as it should (with version 1.0.8 and before, it was falling back to RGB).
- All the movies I tried, played successfully ! No glitches.
Thanks again for the great job Futeko and Himedia !!
Regards.

Not sure why this firmware was packed this way but it sucks that without root you cannot uninstall Facebook,Skype,Kodi or YouTube, If you uninstall they are replaced on next boot, Why would they put them in System/Ect
-
Still can't select 4:2:0 colour space when using a 1080p tv, only 4:4:4 available
-
Still can't select 4:2:0 colour space when using a 1080p tv, only 4:4:4 available
4:2:0 only available in 4K 50/60Hz, it's the limitation of the HDMI specification, so theres nothing you can do about it... http://blog.toonormal.com/2014/01/10/4k-hdmi-and-deep-color/ (http://blog.toonormal.com/2014/01/10/4k-hdmi-and-deep-color/)
Edit.: But being myself also confused whether 4:2:2 (no bitdepth info ???) or 4:4:4 8bit would be better (more "native" ) for 1080p TV's, as I couldn't find any info regarding HDMI sepcs at 1080p...

adb shell rm /system/etc/facebook.apk
adb shell rm /system/etc/skype.apk
adb uninstall com.skype.raider
adb uninstall com.facebook.katana
^_^
But yeah, it sucks. :\

Still can't select 4:2:0 colour space when using a 1080p tv, only 4:4:4 available
it's right 4:4:4 10 bit is best setting for 1080p. 4:4:4 1080p = 420 2160p

Still I would say 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 8bit, but definitely not 10bit, as 1080p TV-s barely support 10bit color depth and the mayority of the video sources are in 8bit.

For me 4:4:4 10bit 1080p and tv is doing upscalling...10bit-TV i have---best combination

In theory 8bit would be better for 8bit sources.
-
Thank you for the FW
- Framerates Switching on 50/60hz Sources ( like 720p 50, 1080 50 ....) Still DOES NOT WORK!
- no Live Backrounds working since 1.08
- Not SDK Patch for proper 3D MVC Playback in 23.976
- Not Possible to disable Imprex Engine with HDR Mode Auto/HDR10 Mode
- Really nice is the Fixed Output at 4K YCBCR 420 50/60hz, no wrong RGB Output anymore :)
-
Anyone tested DVD deinterlace working?! (25fps to 50Hz and 30fps to 60Hz switchig.) ???
Thanks!
-
On my .mpg Files demuxed from DVD the Framerate goes to 25 and 29.97 and NOT 50 or 60hz as with autofmt, i assume the same for DVD ISO
And as i said the framerate doesnt Switch on 50/60hz Sources

Must be on USB port. I tried first from the MicroSD - Ended up with a factory reset without update
Comment on the side, it's pretty lame that the out of the box file manager doesn't support ZIP file.
Because I also didn't extract the update.zip from the main zip and couldn't extract it without re-registering on playstore and install a basic file manager that let me extract the update.zip file.

I`m using an airmouse to operate my Q10 box.
When I tried 1.08, the mouse started to skip (freezing for seconds)... That skipping is very anoying I revert back to 1.07.
Anyone experiencing the same and/or found a solution for this?
Is there a background process that I should be concerned about?
-
I also sometimes have these problems :(. I use the mouse Rii i25A, and android 7.

I also sometimes have these problems :(. I use the mouse Rii i25A, and android 7.
The mouse on stock 1.0.9 was skipping as well.
I don't know what part in the list almost corrected it (now skipping is next to none)
-Since the box is wired, I disabled WiFi (If I have to bet on one, I would guess that's it)
-Rooted the box
-Uninstalled/Removed/disabled every process I didn't need. (Don't try it if you don't know what your are doing)
-
Does the 1.0.9 version has the no subtitle when overlapping bug as well (like the 2.0.0)?
-
When will there be an OTA update?
I'm still on HMD-1.08 2016-10-12.193826
-
Can someone tell me that this firmware(1.0.9) use with Kodi. It show harddisk as name like FW 2.0.0(Android 7.0... Label name as show in windows) or it still show as sda2, sdb2 ... etc. .
Thank you.
-
1.0.9 and 2.0.0 are using the standard android drive names - sda1, sda 2, etc.
You can use the following path to rename them: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1421.msg11498#new

Bluetooth still gets ON when restarting the player wheras it has been setted OFF before. Moreover, I still can't USE my Headphone. I can pair it when it is placed on it but as soon as I get it on my head while being on my sofa, get disconnected.....
Is it due to CSFW 1.0.9 (i am on it) or original FW brings same behaviour to others ?
-
Uploading fixed version please redownload CSFW 1.0.9 and install again / can be done from menu.

Any news from Android 7 update?

Just updated it to 1.0.9
But still no sound when I play a video with audio AAC 7.1 ch using HimediaPlayer.
Am I the only one who's got this problem?
I've read some threads in this forum, but I've never seen anyone complain about this problem.

I've read some threads in this forum, but I've never seen anyone complain about this problem.
Having the same issue on 1.0.7 fw, it won't play AAC 7.1 sound (I'm using the analogue outputs, but as reported with HDMI is the same). I have found an older thread complaining according this, but no resolution since. The same is with older firmwares and with the 2.0.0 also.
Also I have been asked to report here that with 2.0.0 fw the HDMI->RAW setting won't work with AAC 7.1 soundtracks with .mp4 files and with DVD iso's as long as 24p mode is turned on (NO SOUND). When turning off 24p mode the audio playback is fine. Also no issue with .mkv files.
However I'm on the 1.0.7 fw and with analogue output it won't playback AAC 7.1 audio, even from .mkv containers.
Please Futeko respond with a resolution or acknowledge on the issue and urge Himedia to resolve it, thanks!
-
Is possible to downgrade from 1.0.9 to 1.0.7 fw?
Thanks
-
you guys at Futeko say that the firmware is only for european/international units, how do i know if i have an EU version or Chinese version?
