the Himedia player hangs on the dvd menu
how do I fix?

In short term, use Kodi internal player for DVD ISO.

I can't replicate the problem you describe whereby this happens on every ISO. Some have problems, yes, but most play OK with Kodi+wrapper.

Directly with Himedia player I have the same problem with many dvds. iso even without kodi
not with all the dvd.iso happens, some are good, I can not figure out the difference between those who are good and those who bloccono

That's what I mean, HiMedia are aware that some DVD ISOs won't play with himediaplayer. It's being looked at.

In the meantime Kodi internal player will play everything.
