Hi,
I have downloaded HiControl from this forum. There is a search button in application. I have pressed the search button, but it finds nothing.
Both my mobile phone and HiMedia Q10 is on same wireless network.
My phone is htc one.
-
What phone (Android version?) are you running Hicontrol on? There is a recognised issue where it doesn't work with Android 5.0, but otherwise it should be OK.
-
I have the same problema with q5 4k3d, and my android 4.4.2 tablet
-
There is very little setup for HiControl. You run the app and the first screen should list the Himedia devices it finds by IP address.
You can refresh the search by selecting 'Search. in the top right corner.
Are you definitely on the same network? Same wifi network / LAN connected to wifi router?
-
Yes, both Himedia and tablet are wireless connected to the same router. Problably some setting that I have to change on my router. Today I will try to connect the himedia by ethernet. there is no way of manually insert the ip in Hicontrol ?
-
There is no way to manually input IP address.
Did connecting by ethernet work?
-
Hello Futeko.Unfortunately I connected by ethernet and both my mobile phone as the tablet can not find the box. I do not know what I can try
-
Both TV box and phone is in same wireless network. HiControl finds nothing. I have a mac PC and AirPlay finds the TV box successfully.
-
I HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM !!!
I works only when both phone and himedia language is English. In other languages, hicontrol can't find the box.
Dear futeko, can u inform the himedia about this bug.?
-
Ah. Very strange little bug. I will pass it onto HiMedia.

From my iphone/ipad, browsing airplay connections, I see a "tv box@10" (i.e. my q5): how can I remove it? I tried the upnp/dlna section from both android and kodi so far with no luck... Thanks for the help

I don't have an ipad/phone here to test but try Apps - HiDLNA Settings and disable 'Media Renderer Service' and 'Media Share Service'.
-
I tried this solution with no luck (all the boxes are unflagged)...what else can it be?!
-
Not sure. If you go Settings - Apps - All you could try killing selected processes on by one to see it that helps. There's one called 'MediaShare' that I'd start with.
Apart from that I can see that it would be better to have an option to disable Airplay sharing and will suggest it to Himedia.
