Title: Himedia center error LAN player when creating a shortcut

Himedia center player.
I can not connect to the PC via Lan.
I try to create a SHORTCUT and it gives me an error in the LAN application.
In the end I create the SHORTCUT but it gives me server error.
With Kodi adding new network site if I can connect the pc to the shared folder and access the movies. But when trying to watch a movie from the PC I get active external player and it will not let me, because it uses the himedia center.
Any solution

I need more info about the share.

Samba / NFS / uPnP?

Does the share name have spaces in it?

The problem was that the name of the shared folder had spaces.
I've removed the spaces and it works

samba has no stability, often disconnects or goes slow

In my LAN configuration the Auto LAN Search option in the Media Center and the SMB Source Search inside KODI doesn't work at all, shows just the "Server Error and No Source" message. Manually typing in the Source IP and folder name works, but it's still strange.

The share is on a Windows 7 notebook, network and folder sharing all setted up correctly (by my knowledge) and from the notebook I can see the media box's IP too.  I have a router in the chain and using Norton Internet Security on Windows. Gived full traffic permissions to the media box IP and setted it's Trust Level to Trusted in the NIS firewall. Also tried to turn off the NIS protection functions completely, but it still didn't work.

I had made a separate thread according this back a while, but with some hope I thought to mention it here too.

It's not usual behaviour, that's why no replies. Auto-search works here for me with a mixture of Windows 7, Windows 10, Linux, and NAS based shares..

I'd be looking at the Norton firewall and any firewall installed on the router.
