How are the 7 HDDs connected? Hub? Powered hub?

I can assure you this is not a general 7 issue. My Q10 Pro standard daily runs with: SD-Card. Internal HDD and a 4-Slot HDD Bay. All 6 storage devices are detected every time. There are some auto-mount problems though with 7 and maybe they vary with the actual setup?

Check cables and power provision. Specifically USB-3 cables/connectors are notorious for making bad connections.
Please give a much as possible detailed setup with device type/model connected per port specified if you really can reproduce "no problem with 5 and problem with 7" using the exactly same setup.

the 7 hdds are connected  in this way:
1 hd  usb 3 on the usb 3 port on the left
2 hdds  on the usb 2 port on the left  with normal hub
4 hdds  on the usb2 port  on the right  with powered hub.
this configuration work perfect with android 5.1 and the firmware 1.0.8.

I think you're wrong because it is WRITTEN ON FORUM FROM FUTEKO that the hdd storage have problem to mounting with new Android 7.
it's written by futeko:
This patch creates persistent mount locations according to UUID and drive label for attached local storage (internal SATA and USB). This location will stay the same on every boot, eliminating the problem where Q5/Q10 Pro can be inconsistent in where it mounts storage (sda1, sda2, sda3 etc) when multiple USB HDDs are attached.
patch v1.0.4
- add DVD/BD-ROM support
- add RUN_ME.bat option not mount/sdcard/media_rw/disk-by-uuid/<uuid>
-
the problem for me is that it takes to patch a Windows-PC
networked with q5 pro. but I have an apple mac-pc and then I returned
the old but reliable 5.1 but with much regret

HDD detection and mounting is being worked on. Wait for the next upgrade.

Tried myself by moving my 4 Slot HDD Docking from USB3==> USB2 but it still was detected. Got a new record though as all 4 were being quadruplicated.

Funny , because until now I haven't used a USB HUB, and 2 days ago I connected through the USB 3.0 port a  4-USB 3.0 HUB to connect  2 USB 3.0 hard drives.
It works fine and smoothly! I have even watched 4k HDR films from one of them without any stuttering or freezing.
So I have an internal hard disk, and 3 external hard disks connected (1 to the USB 2.0 port and 2 to the USB 3.0 USB-HUB ) and they are all recognized and function well, this is using the custom Android 7.0 firmware  from pcristi.

Does it work if you also use the special script from pcristi?, which I think is not included with the custom package. Could fix this.
