Hey guys
I have been using Airdroid for a while to transfer files from my laptop to my Q10 Pro over wifi. It has always works perfectly.
However after updating to the new firmware (2.0), it has been a nightmare getting things to work.
First of all, I had to enable some write permissions to the "external sd card", which is of course my HDD in my case. All sites showing how to do that gave examples and screens of Airdroid on mobile phones. So it really wasn't straightforward to figure out how to do that on the Q10.
In addition, even after I fixed this, whenever I transfer a large file to the Q10, the transfer gets stuck at 100%. I did verify that the file actually got transferred successfully and there are no artifacts/issues at all when playing the movie. But it is annoying not getting a successful message anymore.
Is this issue only with Airdroid, or is the new firmware to blame?
Other than that, I haven't faced a single issue with the new firmware and am quite happy with it.
I did get something weird that I will be monitoring for the next few days. I was checking the advanced video settings and noticed that it had changed to RGB 8 bit. When trying to set it to 10 bit, the screen turned black and I got an error from my TV itself tellign me that it was an unsupported resolution. On the 2nd try it worked without problems. I never faced this on the old firmware.
My TV is a Samsung KS9500.

It is Android 7 (Nougat) to blame (sort of speak). There were a lot of changes in regards to permissions in Android 6 (MarshMallow) and these were carried out onto Android 7. Try rebooting the Q10 Pro. I wanted to use AirDroid for remote control as well, but I went for TeamViewer. It is working quite well for remote control and file transfer. AirDroid is better suited for a phone, because it has SMS and call support.

Alright, Airdroid is working fine now. Guess the new firmware needed a couple days to "Settle".
The only remaining issue now is that the advanced setting keeps switch to RGB 8 Bit everytime I shut down the player... I keep having to put it back on 10 bit manually. Any idea what could be causing this?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but is anybody using anything else for remote access? Because TeamViewer seems to cause a soft reboot, leaving the TV box without network access. AirDroid needs accepting from the TV box itself everytime it wants to log in. I have tried using Droid VNC Server (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.onaips.vnc), but it just cannot start for some reason. I want to access it remotely anywhere. I also do not want to leave it open for all kinds of remote access. I guess AirDroid can be configured to not ask for permission each time I try to connect to the TV box.
