Good Day,
I'm considering buying a HiMedia Q5 Pro, is the only difference between the Q5 Pro and Q10 Pro the boot up time?
I purchased a S905 player last week and it has random audio dropouts when playing Dolby, DTS and AAC 5.1. After hours of trying to troubleshoot this player based on advice given by the manufacturer, I have given up and they have stopped responding to me.
All I need is a player that will connect to my Twonky Media Server over gigabit Ethernet, and be able to stream 1080p/5.1 content. Mostly HEVC, with some 10-bit. Audio should support passthrough over HDMI. Being able to play FLAC files is nice but optional, I have a different setup in another room for playing music.
My setup is as follows:
Media Player > Marantz AV8802 > 4K TV, supports HDMI 2.0.
Will the Q5 be able to work in this setup? What is the est shipping time to Australia?
Thank you.

Have you tried to to install a Libre Elec OS for your S905 Box?! If it's a cheap chineese box (like the most of them on Gearbest), you may find a compatible LE version for it. And as far as I have read on another Forum, it usually performs far more superb with LE + KODI combo, than with the Android OS, which is usually far more lame in the case of these cheap boxes. You don't even need to overwrite the original Android OS, just flash the LE to an SD card, and you will have a Dual Boot system and a decent and cost effective media player.
May worth a try.
