Title: Catchup TV and samba server
Post by: daveydguk on May 02, 2015, 04:18:37 PM
Hi..

How good is the Q5 4k3D at playing BBC iplayer/4OD/ITV player ? is it compatible.

If you connect HHD docking station to USB 3/esata port how good is it acting as a samba server for other devices ?

Is this device capable of udh 4k @ 30 and 60fps ?

Thanks.

NHL GameCenter work for example and almost app work without problem
performance of samba server are 20/30 mb/s ,soc don't have native SATA there is internal usb2 sata adapter limit up 35 mb/s usb 2.
For 60 fps need HDMI 2.0 and true HDMI FULL 2.0 TV.

It's compatible with all of those services and they're all available in Play Store. Quality is not amazing because the Android apps are primarily designed for phones. It's watchable SD quality. BBC iPlayer is available in HD via Kodi using this add-on: http://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:IPlayer

It's capable of 4K 30fps but not 4K 60fps.
