Hi all,
Not a question this time but just some valuable feedback.
I bought the HiMedia Q5 Pro a couple of weeks ago and straight away I was very disappointed with the included remote control:
-No stop button
-Very hard hard to fast forward or reverse
-Not the best designed lay-out etc.
I had already experimented with my Logitech Harmony Ultimate remote but still missed the above mentioned functionality.
Until.... I programmed it as a HD300A instead of Q5 Pro. (See link: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1253.0)
Now I've got best of both worlds. The remote does exactly what I want. I can stop playback, easy to fast forward, etc.
If you're not happy with the included remote than look not further than the Logitech Harmony Ultimate.
It's a bit pricey (Around AU$180.00) but in my opinion it's worth it!
Any others who want to leave some feedback about their work-arounds?
Cheers,
Luc

Many other -even pricey- media players lack of Stop button. I didn't find it too much discomfortable, I'm also -relatively- fine with pressing the Back button to quit playback. Stop button would come in to use when one's would want to strat a video from it's beginning numerous times repeatedly, which isn't my case, but I agree that it would be handy in several occasions and overlall.
I would be -almost- satisfied with its build quality and comfort as far as casual video playback controlling goes, but for other apps, YT and browsing a good keyboraded air mouse is a must have replacement for this device (IMO). (Most of the advised Air-Mouses also lacks the dedicated Stop button, BTW...)
The only really annoying thing I had to discover after couple of mounts - and non intensive- of use, is that the OK button started to intermit, and sometimes needs much more press effort to get it right. It testifies somewhat about the remotes overall build quality and durability in longer term...

You can program remote buttons to other functions (including stop) using the tool here: http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1259
HiMedia 300A is the best option in Harmony database.
