Very valid question. When checked please ask also how Android 7 will behave in this aspect. Could be different.

q5-lan to pc....pc-wifi to router(internet)...how q5 to internet?
Any ideas?...thanks!

I have this setup
Ground floor: PC via Lan -> Wifi/Router (internet)
Upstairs (Room): Q10 Pro -> Range Extender (http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/cat-10_TL-WA855RE.html (http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/cat-10_TL-WA855RE.html))
Q10 Pro is attached via LAN. (Also Wifi if you want) through the Range Extender.
Range Extender -> Wifi/Router.

And you want to route the traffic of the PC through the Q5 Pro to the internet? It's just easier to buy an 8 port gigabit switch.

Some may be considering to use OpenWRT with FW APP to control traffic for the total home environment towards the Internet? If that is included with Android 7 like the competition is doing?
Controlling the home access with a powerful and easy to change Security layer is not trivial. The ISP router may be unsuitable for that.

If you can use a LAN switch it could connect wired:
- Router
- PC
- Q5
And wireless for any other device you have. A Gigabit Switch even with 8-ports are cheap these days (use a Netgear for this myself).
Be sure to use CAT5E or better cabling only. This is how I work myself (also wired my AMP, TV, STB to it ) as nothing beats wired.
My Q10 Pro acts as a NAS for the total home in this setup. Keep my PC closed for security concerns.

Just a tipp: have you tried to set your PC's internet connection/adapter properties "Share->Allow other networks computers to connect through this computer's internet connection" . ?
I have used virtual Wi-Fi for a while one my PC to connect the Q10 Pro to the internet through my PC and it worked, maybe it will work with cable as well...
-
I will try that...Thanks!

Hi, Guys
I have one trouble.
My box not work LAN and WiFi
I want use USB LAN adapter. How can I initialize the adapter? How to register in system of the driver? Before on firmware Android 5.1 was enough to add to the folder /system/lib/modules. Now on Android 7 it doesn't work. What to do?
-
@DenisDA: why not try to make the built-in LAN work? This is madness, what you are trying to do, you and the member that started this thread. It is like re-inventing the wheel. I guess people will never stop making things difficult. What makes you think an USB lan will work, if the built-in did not? Rather than to try to fix your ethernet you want to use an USB LAN.
A good router will take care of any of your problems.
-
I asked about installing drivers!!! Built-in LAN does not work, I wrote about it. Android just does not see it.
-
@DenisDA: there is no way that "Android does not see it". It should have all the needed drivers. If it does not get an IP, check your router. If you suspect it is broken, send it to be repaired. You were adding the kernel module, but Android 7 uses a different kernel. Again, in my opinion, this is waaay to complicated and you should try to get the built-in LAN to work.
-
If Android 7 has a different kernel, why is the kernel version the same as 5.1-3.18.24? I asked me to pick up the driver for the USB LAN that's been done. Add the two files in the folder /system/lib/modules and run the init script drivers at the start helped me to use USB LAN.
