Hi,
I just bought a HiMedia Q5 Pro from Futeko and I had it installed today.
We live in the bush and have very limited internet access.
When the HiMedia is running it seems to hog the whole internet bandwidth and no other computer on our LAN can no longer access the internet.
We use the HiMedia only to play local NAS content and do not need access to Netflix, Youtube, or any other service.
Basically we only want to use KODI to have access to our local files and nothing else.
I can't seem to find a setting that can be switched on to prevent access to the internet.
Does anybody know how to do this?
Cheers,
Luc

This is actually the Qxx 4K3D thread (not for the Pro models), but I assume it'll be similar.
You can turn ethernet & wifi off by doing the following...
Main Menu > Settings > More > Ethernet > Top right corner switch to off.
Repeat for Wifi.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Motahed!
Sorry, I didn't realize this forum thread is for a different model.
I took note of it and will list new topics in the correct thread.
I already disabled the WiFi but did not disable the Ethernet connection as this would result in undesired outcomes, namely not being able to watch anything from the NAS.
Cheers,
Luc

I assume the Q5 Pro and the NAS is in the same subnet. So just configure a manual IP address for the Q5 Pro with a fake gateway address so it can operate within the subnet but can't find a way out from it. If you need internet on the Q5 Pro you just configure the right one for the time necessary.
