Hi. I have my movie collection on the internal hard disk and play them back via the Media Center. Kodi and all the other stuff I do not use. Now to my problem. Once I somewhat alters the Subtitle Settings such as Sub position or font size, and I stop the movie and watch it again the next day on, all settings are gone. Ever grateful for your answers

Ditto.
Also external srt not recognized.
Have to manually select it with every mkv playback.

The settings not saving problem has already been reported to HiMedia. It should be fixed in next firmware update.
By 'external srt not recognized' what exactly do you mean? How is the .srt file named?

It doesn't select the external srt by default.
Of course the srt has the same name as the mkv file.
When present in the mkv the embedded sub is selected and I have to select the external srt by scrolling through the various subs with the "7" key.
So I'm looking for a setting which selects external srt by default when starting a mkv.
Thank you!

Got it.
So the problem is related to himediaplayer not saving sub settings. You want himediaplayer to remember that you want subs on when you play a video. This has been reported to HiMedia, I think they understand the problem, so I'd expect it to get fixed.
