Title: Best settings for 4k TV
Post by: usul on August 08, 2016, 02:37:51 AM
Hello
I'll be getting finally  a 4k projector, but need advice what to do for 4k settings.

Basically,  I'll have lots of 1080p videos,  and some 4k videos.
Since the Auto mode I understand does not work.
What is best output mode for all videos.?
If watching 1080p for example,  should I set himedia output to 4k/60, therefore having himedia up sample video to 4k.
Or
Is it better to set himedia to 1080p output for 1080 files,  and let projector to the up conversion.
.
Basically,  I would love to leave himedia always in 4k mode,  but wonder if my 1080p material will be degraded..

How does this video output settings affect 3D output frame packed.
Will it output 3d in 4k video output settings,  or would i have to force output to 1080.

Thanks.

I suggest to read this story first.

The only person that can answer the question will be you.  One needs to try all variants possible and judge the outcome himself.
