So i did order my Himedia q10 pro from your website after alot of research for my new mediaplayer. Yesterday i did recieve the item over de post. As happy as i was i went directly home after work to test it out. So i did connect de Q10 pro to my JBL SB400 soundbar (Yes i wil switch to a real sound system soon :P) and did check some setting and setup kodi with my synology NAS.
Now the problem comes: As soon as i play a serie or a movie i hear hard plopping or peeping sounds come out of my soundbar. These are the same files that i did play before without no problem over my old mediaplayer "Boxee box from Dlink". So i did do some test to check out where the problem could be.
- I did change the HDMI cable to check if the problem was in de cable, and with the new cable the problem was stil there.
- I tested the files in kodi mediaplayer and in the mediacenter that is standard on the Q10 pro, both media players have the same problem.
- When i change the HDMI channel of my soundbar to the TV the polpping en peeping sounds are not there anymore
- When i play the same series/movies with my PS4 or Boxee box the sounds are not there also.
So it seems that the problem is in the Himedia q10 pro mediabox or am i missing something?

What have you got Settings - Playback - HDMI Output and HBR Output set to?
I've just done a search for your soundbar specs and I think the above should be set as follows:
Settings - Playback - HDMI Output: RAW
Settings - Playback - HBR Output: RAW5.1
Do those settings make any difference with files played through built in mediacenter app?
Alternatively, if you change to the settings to the following does it eliminate the popping?:
Settings - Playback - HDMI Output: LPCM
-
I get those popping sounds when I hit pause.

I wil try the setting out as soon as i get home! I wil also try to record the sound with my mobile so you guys can hear it.
@PJDavis1970, wel if it only happends when i hit the pause button then i personaly wouldn't care that much. But its kinda constantly at this point while playing any file. So i am a bit frustrated at the moment because they are very loud pop's (and i never had problems before til i got the q10)

A video would be useful in figuring out the cause.

Using a Lindy HDMI-CEC blocker could be useful too. I have seen HDMI-CEC command loops with some setups in combination with wrong implementation of HDMI-CEC on one device. Q10 Pro is an example. Most have no problems in stationary but I have seen at least one case reported of a blocker helping.
I am pretty sure if you put in another AMP that the problem is gone. I don't say that the soundbar is the root problem but the combination is probably problematic at the current state of FW development.

So far no weird sound plops or beeping within mediacenter or kodi. I love how fast the community responses and the technical knowledge you guys got. I soon wil replace the soundbar for a real surround system ;D
Thank you so far!
@admin you can delete my email i send you.

No probs. Glad it's fixed.

Same thing here. TV UE55JS8500T. Sounds come after a pause setting on some *.mkv files. Should I change the "auto HDMI adaptation" setting? In auto mode it sets 2160p 30, YCbCr422, is this a correct setting for my TV?
Audio sample is sent to futeko e-mail due to its size. Sorry for quality)
