Hi,
when i use hicontrol to manage Q5 Pro by my smartphone, all seems works, but i don't have the screen on TV, on my smartphone too.
Smartphone screen is black.
So i can "only":
- use mouse with my phone
- enter text with my phone
- also i can tap on my phone screen, but with no screen replication on my phone, so is very hard to get correct icon.
anyone has my same issue with and know how i can solve it?
THx

I have the same with my tablet 2048 x 1536. I think it's resolution problem. With my phone 1920x1080 hicontrol works fine.

Android 5.1.1(1600 x 2560) /Android 6.0.1(1440 x 2560) , when application is restore from background application.
Workaround for me is:
Never press home menu of device running HiControl if HiMedia device is controlling
Always before to open HiControl, check on recent app if HiControl is active and kill if is popup.
I hope HiMedia to fixed soon, but I like more they will fix first HiMediaVideoPlayer microshutter and passthrough for specific situation.
LE @qqq1971, maybe device with FHD display not have problems

I have a Moto G here running Android 6.0 and it has no problems.
Screen resolution is 1280x720.
So it could be a resolution related problem.
Would appreciate some more testing.

I have the same issue, and use a similar workaround - but rather than killing it, I just switch back into that app.

In all circumstances or only after leaving app and returning?
And what Android version is it running? It shipped with 4.4.2 originally.

Any hope for ios app?

Any hope for ios app?
I think unlikely (HiControl has existed for several years as an Android app only) but I will add it to the list of feature requests for HiMedia.

Thanks futeko.

All circumstamces. Also on restart phone and then run Hicontrol.
My phone is:
Android 4.4.4
Kernel 3.4.0
Build Number 18.1.A.2.25
Tried with previous Hicontrol version => same issue.
Thanks Futeko for your interest.

Am surprised. It has generally always worked fine with 4.4. The previous version had a problem with later Android versions, but 4.4 has always been OK.
Must be particular to your phone.

Yesterday, i tried with another same phone model with same software version (but with different app installed).
Doesn't work.
So, probably, is a per phone model (Sony Xperia T3) issue.

Yesterday, tried on a Android PAD and it works!
Is surely a problem on my smartphone (Sony Xperia T3).
Also, after that, now it doesn't work at all!
It say me "server refused access".

Answered on your other thread.
I think the problem is that you are trying to run two instances of Hicontrol (two devices) with one Q5/Q10 Pro.

I also have black screen on my Galaxy Note 4 andoroid 5.
Will not be a solution for this?
-
Working fine on my Note 4 under Android 5 and 6. As already posted, you will get a black screen if you open another instance of the app on your phone, just use the task list button (the button to the left of the home button) to bring up your recent apps and select HiControl from there if it is already running. If not, it should be working ok.
If you have a black screen 100% of the time i.e. you can't get the app to work at all, there must be something else wrong.

Tried that new app above - same result, can control the Q10 but just a black screen on my phone.
Can't get HiControl to give me a display at all now, on the latest or the last firmware.
