The wired LAN connection to my Q10 Pro is through a CAT6 cable, a gigabit switch and a gigabit router - but the download speed is only ~ 35 Mbps.
I typically get about 145 Mbps from another pc on the same switch, so why is the wired connection to the Q10 Pro so slow?
I tried to connect the Q10 Pro to my network using Wi-Fi but it just scans endlessly and never finds anything to connect to.
I looked around in the settings menu but didn't see anything obvious that might be causing the issue(s).
Am I missing something?

And what are you talking of? Megabits or Megabytes? This is a big difference.
My Q10 Pro let me copy files in my GIga Lan with 24MBytes/s.

Mbps = megabits per second as I stated in my above post.
I have a PC connected to the same switch that gets almost 5X the speed that the Q10 Pro does so there's obviously something wrong whether it be software or hardware.

Getting 20-25 MB/sec Write and 25-30 MB/sec Read speed is what is normal for Q10/Q5 pro.
Getting just 35 Mbits/sec is not normal. Recommend disabling the wireless during the test.

Hehe, thats true.
I don't know the reason why the Q10 Pro too uses WLAN when LAN is activated, but he definately does it. ::)
You have to manually switch WLAN off in Q10 Pro. :D

As above, I recommend manually turning off wifi (Settings - More - Wi-Fi - toggle off).

I will try that a re run the test.
As to my 2nd question, is there any way to get the wifi working?
When I enable it the device just scans for a network endlessly but never finds anything.
EDIT: WiFi never seems to be on although it says it's scanning for a network.

Does it see any SSIDs at all?
If it sees nothing but wifi appears to work (i.e. you can turn it on in settings) then is the antenna connected? A problem with antenna could be tested by putting Q10 Pro next to the router and seeing if it finds the network. Even without an antenna it should find the network when situated right next to the router.

WiFi doesn't see anything, even when it's right next to the router.
When I go into the settings for WiFi I can't turn it on or off - there's a message saying "Turning WiFi on" but it never does anything else.

From the home screen go Settings - More - Wi-Fi, and toggle the slider switch to on.
You should see a message saying 'turning wifi on' for a couple of seconds then a list of networks.
If wifi can't be turned on by this method then it's possibly a hardware fault. Email us for RMA: mail@futeko.com.

The box never gets past the "turning WiFi on" stage unfortunately.
I appreciate your response to my issue(s) and will request an RMA via email.
