Title: Q10 Pro no DTS-HD audio - SOLVED

Hi, 
 
Need some urgent advice......I have just gotten the Q10 pro and realised that there was no audio when I played DTS-HD movies, everything else plays fine with ie DTS, AC3....only DTSHD tracks and above I'll get no sound (but picture is available).  I'm outputing the HDMI through an Onkyo 727 receiver.  The receiver is set correctly as my previous media player (popcorn hour) could play DTS HD tracks without issue.

I have set the sound to HDMI-RAW (no sound), HDMI LPCM (no sound too).  The funny thing is that the symbology on the receiver shows that it is receiving signals but there is no sound available.  I have also tried it through KODI and enabled passthrough without success.......

I have an Onkyo HT-R558 (connected only via HDMI) and no problems with DTS-HD.
Do you have the wrapper installed if you play from KODI?

My settings:
HDMI Output: RAW
SPDIF Output: Close
HBR Output: RAW5.1

Yes, the wrapper has been installed.   I also ran it directly from the media center and there was no audio for the DTS-HD movies

I don't have the pro but you may want to check the audio advanced settings in Kodi , although if it plays DTS OK that's a bit odd, you may have to use the confluence skin to access the advanced settings , it has DTS stuff that may need turned on, or pass through allowed etc

I already did so....I activated the expert settings and toggled pass through.  Toggled a few settings to no avail.

Did you update the firmware to the latest version after you set it up? 
This fixed the the HD audio issues on my Yamaha from the firmware that shipped.

Updated firmware too!  I'm almost tempted to upgrade my amp to get the atmosphere and hdr going.

Ok, I've finally solved the problem with respect to no sound with DTS-HD tracks.

I had to HARD RESET the Onkyo Amp.  My previous attempts were just disconnecting from the power socket to allow for a soft reset (with all the settings maintained).  I was not that keen for hard reset as all my labourious calibration of sound would have been lost.  But I figureed that this was the last resort and after hard reset, the audio tracks now play well!

I just can't figure out why this should be the case......thanks for all the previous help.
