In 2016 the UK public voted by referendum to leave the European Union (so called 'Brexit').
[UPDATED 30-OCT-2019] - Britain's potential exit from the EU is delayed (again!) until 31st January 2020 pending the result of a general election on 12th December.
After this election the outcome will be one of:
1. Conservative win - Boris Johnson's negotiated deal with a transition period where nothing changes until at least end 2020. 2. Labour win - A new negotiated deal aiming at Britain staying in the EU customs union, better worker's rights and more EU alignment compared to Boris Johnson's deal. Followed by a leave/remain referendum on that new deal. 3. Liberal Democrat win - Revoke article 50 and Britain stays in the EU (:
The important thing we take from recent events is that a 'no-deal' Brexit where Britain leaves the EU single market and customs union without an agreement on future arrangements will not happen.
This means that, FOR US AND OUR CUSTOMERS, THINGS WILL STAY LARGELY AS THEY ARE IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.
* We will honour all warranties and consumer rights exactly as they are now for products sold whilst the UK is an EU member.
* It is extremely unlikely that shipping between the UK and EU will be significantly affected for our products.
* It remains very likely that the end result of all this b**ls**t will be a UK/EU relationship identical or extremely similar to the one we have now.
We will keep this page updated with information that affects our relationship with EU customers.
