I wrote to support once, and they asked me to send them the files that cause problems. I hope you get the problem fixed.

Because at least me have no problems with it.
Are you the guy that wrote "BTW, you're saying DTS-HD-HR. What is HR?" ?
Yes I am the same guy and I did wrote that. And? What does that have anything to do with the fact that DTS-HD HR is working for me?
Well, it means that I definitely do not need another "DTS-HD HRA sample". I have a lot of Blu-rays, really a lot, and DTS-HD HR does not work with the Q5 Pro, v2.07. The Blu-rays work with all my other devices, just NOT with the Q Pro, it's as simple as that.

You also have an old AVR from 2015, like my Yamaha RX-A3050. These devices have almost no problems with DTS HD HRA (never have had any problems). Most of the affected devices came from 2017, maybe 2016 too.
No. I have the Denon AVR-X3200W from 2015. The Denon plays DTS-HD HR audio tracks perfectly well from all my devices, just not from the Q Pro.

Denon seems to have more trouble with it. Perhaps this is also due to the incompatibility of the SoCs with each other. Denon probably uses others like Yamaha.
But we have already found out in the German forum that the devices that are affected play the material elsewhere. That's why it can only be the HiMedia who causes the trouble.

Just as tip: could it maybe connected to the CEC issue, that HiMEdia has so well known a long ago? Maybe a Lindy CEC-Less adapter could worth a try.

Otherwise I could not think how this could be happening.? Audio passthrough is a digital, unconverted passthrough of bits as it should operate and flow all the same on any devices. What could here make any difference? I mean it's a "standard" that could be made one way: by the standard, or not at all. So how could this end up for some to have it working properly, and for others to have it not working at all (even if the AVRs are completely different).
So that's why I'm guessing there are -MAYBE- other supplementary HDMI functions (CEC, ARC, Handshake?) concerned in the issue...

Maybe i've mistaken something technically, but that's what I can think of it now. More of a question BTW... :???

I'm very keen to see if CEC blocking indeed fixes the issue - at the same time I would be surprised. It's a little bit of the topic, but are there any real differences between using CEC-less adapter and disabling all CEC controls in devices, like disabling HDMI control in case of Denon?

I have some other suggestion concerning a problem. In rare cases my Denon also wrongly detects correct audio input. It helps if I press button "Auto" or "Auto Audio". It's not very probably, but it's worth to try.

I tested this again with current 2.0.7 firmware and used the sample linked on the first page of this thread.
It plays perfectly fine and my Yamaha AVR shows "DTS-HD Hi Res" on the display, so it is recognised correctly.
For passthrough of all audio, I use the RAW7.1 setting (not auto) as noted previously.
High Resolution audio is fairly uncommon in Blu-ray disks as most use lossless Master Audio (or lossless PCM or TrueHD).

Perhaps the source of some video files could be questionable as primary audio on "The Snowman" Blu-ray (noted above) is DTS-HD MA 7.1.
My copy of Mr & Mrs Smith (HRA 7.1) is the exception to this but this also plays fine using the Q10Pro.

There is nothing questionable about The Snowman Blu-ray.  Audio 1 (English) is DTS-HDMA 7.1, Audio 2 (French) is DTS-HDHR 7.1, Audio 3 (German) is DTS-HDHR 7.1, Audio 4 (Italian) is DTS-HDHR 7.1, Audio 5 (Spanish) is DTS-HDHR 7.1, Audio 6 (English Audio Descriptive) is AC3 2.0.

Now you have explained you don't use the primary audio track, that makes more sense why you would find more HRA tracks on Blu-ray's.

It does not change the fact that DTS-HD HRA plays just fine for others, including myself as noted above.
Instead of blaming the media player, look at other things that are connected that can can be changed as already suggested?  HDMI cables, even try another AVR if possible to test?

Here is an old Kodi forum review thread (which Page 1 tests have not been updated since October 2016 and Android 5 firmware) but the tests clearly confirm HRA 5.1 and 7.1 passed last year:

Thanks. I upgraded from 3.90.35.00 to 3.90.50.00 three weeks ago. Be careful. I'll check with my ancient 1911 later.

I don't understand what "primary audio track" means. On the Darling (2015) Blu-ray is Audio 1 (German) DTS-HDHR 5.1, Audio 2 (English) DTS-HDHR 5.1. Which one is primary?

I think he means the first audio track from source.
