As of today (1/10/2017), soon after starting my Q10 Pro, I get the popup message "Himedia Package installer has stopped".  I then have to click "Close app" to make this message go away. I am running firmware 2.0.0 on Android 7. To exclude the possibility of a corrupted file, I reinstalled this firmware, using the upgrade button. The message still keeps popping up after every boot. Any suggestions about what could be going on here?

Same here.  First time it has happened is today.

This and the unwanted, mysterious OTA update message issue and the new thread according that annoying Chinese Himedia TV app, makes me complain, that whether or not Himedia can access and modify "sneaky" our devices remotely from the internet, without any acknowledgment or confirmation by our side. Strange experiences to underpin this just keep on gathering. What's your POV Futeko?!

I need your help please, somehow it looks like my q10 is bricked.

I was using the 2.0 firmware for the last 2 weeks, and I wanted to come back to 5.1

I was downgrading from 2.0 to 1.0.8 (using migration firmware from Android 7 to Android 5.1 in the 2nd post in this thread). Unfortunately power went off while downgrading.

When power came back I tried to repeat the downgrade process, but it stucks at this screen:

As you can see progress bar is 100%. The Himedia ligth in the player keep flashing red and white.

I've waited for more than 15 minutes, multiple times, still no luck.

If I remove the USB, when reboot,  it stucks at Himedia logo:

@omega3: if it still boots, it is not bricked. Redo the first step of the downgrade, then do the second step. If one of them is not completed successfully, then you would see things like that. Force it to boot from SD card, do not use USB. I had a similar issue with it when I tried flashing something and it messed up /system partition.

I need your help please, somehow it looks like my q10 is bricked.

Please try installing 1.0.7 firmware. If that works you can install later Android 5.1 firmware.

New Android 7 firmware Wednesday morning on this forum.

It may be available Tuesday via the usual leak sources (Vietnamese + Russian forums) but I advise waiting until Wed morning when we have tested it and put our download packages together.
